Handling Responsibility

Taking responsibility is like helping someone with a heavy load.  You have to hold up your end of the deal.  Once the load is up and moving, letting go is not an option.

Now, equate that with the running of an organization or business.  Especially when half the weight depends on you but the whole load will not move smoothly without you.  You are not that indispensable after all.

So, make sure you have the strength to handle your end of the load before you take that responsibility.

  1. like marriage, you don't really know what business will demand from you until you've signed the dotted line.

  3. Very True. Sometimes no venture no gain ... can't be too careful all the times ... one never knows how much weight one can carry in the first go. Just work on speculation and apply calculated risk - like marriage too. The whole idea is not to be " just plain stupid." Text here is also a calculated risk. Some one can drop a bomb shell here, you know. LOL Your drawing is good.

  4. I used to be a bungler in my younger days and took challenges I thought I could handle, not once, but a few times, and got badly burnt for those mistakes. And I realized that I hadn't just hurt myself but the people and organizations that I quit from. Maybe they also took that calculated risk, but I felt I let them down because of my incompetence. I realized I wasn't cut out to handle certain jobs. So, after those hard 'lessons' I stayed with what I did best.
